Volkswagen service and maintenance schedule

April 10, 2020 by Metric Autosport

Service/maintenance Schedule

Volkswagen uses a service schedule that divides its self into 10,000 mile intervals. Most VW owners are meticulous about maintaining their vehicles and go above and beyond what is recommended by the factory. With proper maintenance you can keep your vehicle running strong without unnecessary repairs. Each VW has its own service schedule but below we will go over a 2015-2019 GTI service schedule recommended by the factory, than what we recommend here at Metric Autosport.

The above service schedule is recommended by VW. If your VW is modified or you just want to go above and beyond with your services we recommended adding a few things to the list.

-5k oil change

-30k service the performance pack front differential

-80k intake valve carbon clean

Using approved engine oil is very import. Using the wrong oil weight or non approved oils can cause premature failures. At Metric Autosport

we use Motul engine oil that is Audi and VW approved. The performance pack GTI’s come with a limited slip differential that needs to be serviced.

One of biggest problems with all direct injected motors is the build up of carbon on the back of the intake manifolds. Cleaning the carbon off the intake valves will improve performance and increase MPG. Contact us for any of your service needs.
